Chris McNeil

Founder, CEO and Thought Leadership Consultant

Chris McNeilIn addition to being the founder of Thaut Thought Leadership Consultancy, and creator of the Thaut Process of Strategic Thought Leadership, Chris is the host of the Thought Leadership Studio Podcast and is working on an industry-defining book, titled Strategic Thought Leadership.

A serial entrepreneur since age 24, Chris brings both the power of technology and the art of positive persuasion to give clients clear leadership in their niches. Chris gained prominence when he owned a chain of personal fitness studios and wrote web applications for them that won both a 2004 Nova 7 award and a 2007 Nova 7 award for innovation in websites and new technology. He was also awarded the 2008 Innovators Awards from the Charleston Regional Business Journal for the FitMenu online healthy dining program after he sold the studios and began developing online marketing solutions for multiple corporate clients in the Charleston, SC area.

Chris honed his marketing instincts modeling the best practices of the masters of marketing like Seth Godin and Jay Abraham first in his own brick and mortar businesses then launching and running his own digital marketing agency, Pensarc, which he ran for 10 years before deciding to take what he learned about digital marketing and create the 5th Level Web concept and Thaut Process of Strategic Thought Leadership.

In addition to being an award winning developer and digital marketer, Chris is an NLP Master Practitioner and has developed innovated methods of using Neuro-Linguistics in sales and marketing.

In June-July 2025, after over 6 years of developing the framework and practice of Strategic Thought Leadership, Chris engineered a breakthrough called "STL Schema" which utilizes the 9 building blocks of a Thought Leadership Model to train AI with specialized schema for large-scale positive change - a literal paradigm machine - and got instant market traction. But, near simultaneously, he and his family were displaced against their will in an alleged retaliatory eviction from their home (owned by the Altman family's SAC 181, LLC) of over 5 1/2 years in Charleston, SC by Meridian Residential Group, LLC who also published private family life images on over 25 platforms without Chris or his wife's knowledge or consent, among other alleged infractions.

Chris noticed these housing instability issues were systemic, especially in housing crisis ravages Charleston, SC where the average rent is 57% of the average renter's income. He thought he could do something about it, not only for his own family, but for vulnerable tenants everywhere, and put his "paradigm machine" to work.

On September 9, 2025, Chris file a pro-se lawsuit in the Most Vulnerable Member role of the unrepresented tenant to put his Systems Thinking and Strategic Thought Leadership expertise to work for paradigm change in housing with a study of and intervention into the Housing Justice system of Charleston, SC which became known as the Housing Justice Audit, now published at housingjusticeaudit.com/report.

During this study, Chris became an "unintentional whistleblower as he uncovered a multiple-layer "false narrative system" that had captured all three branches of government as well as being connected to the dominant local newspaper, the Post and Courier, explaining the local blackout of what Google AI calls a "high profile housing lawsuit".

At the time of this update (May 5, 2026) the SC Supreme Court has intervened on he and his co-plaintiff and wife Meaghan's behalf by responding to the Petition for Writ of Mandamus he filed, issuing a Return Request that ordered the Charleston, SC Court of Common Pleas to respond within 10 days.

They have also now committed to trial to empower 12 jurors to not only assess punitive damages of the growth-flattened Strategic Thought Leadership and STL Schema platforms that built to utilize the Housing Justice Audit by direct experience of merit, but to also assign a number that sends a signal to the rental housing industry in general that what has been called "passive investing" is - per the study - harmful, because it includes the hidden assumption of "unconscious abdication" which creates a dark space bad actor agents can thrive in.

The systems intervention aspect fueled by STL Schema is a Thought Leadership Model called "Conscious Co-Stewardship" and is based on aligning tenant, property manager, and property investor at the level of values and beliefs with a "reverence for the shelter life stories play out in."

A national media outreach campaign is launching as this is written in early May 2025.

Whenever this case concludes, Chris hopes to get back to enjoying traveling with his wife, Meaghan, and playing guitar in another performing band.
